HVFC Responded to Three Motor Vehicle Accidents in the Last Week

Haddam Volunteer Fire Company recently responded to three motor vehicle accidents.

At 1:15 p.m. on July 28, 2020, a driver heading through Cockaponset State Forest rolled his vehicle at the intersection of Old Mottland Road and Jericho Road. The driver self-extricated and was evaluated by Haddam Ambulance Service personnel. He refused additional medical treatment.

At 9:20 p.m. on July 23, 2020, crews were dispatched to Weiss Road for an accident involving two vehicles. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered one car off the road, resting on a rock. The occupants had self-extricated and were evaluated by EMS personnel. An occupant inside the second vehicle was transported to Middlesex Hospital via Haddam Ambulance.

And at 11:30 a.m., July 21, 2020, three vehicles were involved in an accident on Saybrook Road near Shailerville Manor. One vehicle had been struck in the rear with minimal damage, another vehicle sustained significant damage to the rear passenger side, and the third vehicle deflected into a guardrail. All drivers were evaluated on scene by EMS personnel. The driver of the third vehicle was transported to Middlesex Hospital. Crews closed a section of Saybrook Road during the incident.
