Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to a motor vehicle accident at 6:20 p.m. March 7, 2022 on Saybrook Road near Jail Hill Road.
The operator of one vehicle was evaluated on scene and refused additional medical treatment. The operator of the other vehicle was unable to open the driver’s side door due to the accident. Firefighters and EMS personnel helped the patient out of the vehicle through the passenger’s side door. The patient was then transported to Middlesex Hospital via Haddam Volunteer Ambulance. Firefighters rerouted Saybrook Road traffic for about an hour until the vehicles and debris were removed from the roadway.
This was the fourth motor vehicle accident in Haddam so far this month.
