HVFC MVA & Smoke Alarm Calls

Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to a motor vehicle accident at 4:45 p.m. April 29, 2021 on Little City Road. A driver crashed into a series of wooden and wire guardrails before coming to a stop. Crews closed one lane of traffic during the incident. Connecticut State Police are investigating.
At 7:15 p.m. on April 28, 2021 HVFC was dispatched to Higganum Village Plaza for a fire alarm. Upon arrival, firefighters determined a smoke detector on the second floor was malfunctioning due to dust. The call was cleared without incident.
