Holiday on Main Street Presents Magic of Middletown

(Middletown, CT.) Chairman Tom Byrne and Event Chairman Al Santostefano of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce invites the community to experience the Magic of Middletown!

During these uncertain times, the Middlesex Chamber and the City of Middletown is looking to bring a little Magic to Middletown! As you may know, Holiday on Main Street is an annual event held in Downtown Middletown on the weekends from Thanksgiving to Christmas. Due to COVID-19, the Chamber has put their holiday thinking caps on to promote an interactive, safe and socially distant events that will get the community excited about downtown Middletown to feel the holiday spirit.

This series of events will be called, “The Magic of Middletown!” The Magic of Middletown will begin with a virtual tree lighting which will be released on Friday, November 27, 2020 and will be followed by socially distant events on the follow Saturday’s: November 28, December 5 and December 12, 2020, which will feature popcorn and pretzels, holiday music, a pop-up vendor fair, a Spectacular Savings Saturday and a Tis the Season to Find a Gnome scavenger hunt at different locations throughout downtown. The Chamber will also have a Dashing through Downtown Holiday Parade on Friday, December 4, 2020 which will feature a decorated car parade that will travel around downtown Middletown to showcase our beautiful Main Street and the surrounding areas!

Event Chairman Al Santostefano noted, “After 34 years, Holiday on Main Street has become a signature event for our city, and I could not be more excited for this year’s first Magic of Middletown celebration while practicing social distancing.  This virtual event is another great example of how we have the most innovated Chamber around.  I am grateful to everyone who has made this day such a tremendous success, year after year to help spread peace, love, and joy.  The Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce and the Holiday on Main Street Committee look forward to celebrating this virtual event to spread cheer through our community during difficult times.”
