On the bright, sunny afternoon of October 17, 2020 a group from the Haddam Killingworth High School Boys Soccer team gathered with the 1Big Circle athletes on the soccer field to learn, play and have fun together! 1 Big Circle is a social club that offers friendship-building activities for young adults who struggle with social engagement due to their disabilities.
The HK soccer players helped and encouraged the athletes through stretches, drills, and shots on goal. The group enjoyed getting some exercise and being able to be together. This was summed up by Ben Williams, a HKHS soccer player, who stated, “Now more than ever, it was good to be able to see each other.”
