HK Rec Dept Offers Virtual Classes During COVID-19

Virtual 5k – Run for HK Rec

Run or walk any time, anywhere between April 1 – 30. Send us your time! A perfect way to participate in a program while keeping social distancing rules in place. During this pandemic our programs have stopped. Program registrations are our main source of revenue. All proceeds will help keep HK Rec. running. $10 per person.

Virtual Magic Workshop (Boys & Girls age 5+)

Magic class now available online using Zoom. One-on-one 30-40 minute session with professional magician Tom O’Brien. Participants will receive an email from Tom requesting date and time. All materials will be mailed to student prior to session. They will learn five tricks. Tom is a master at his craft and is a wonderful and entertaining teacher!

$22 (non-resident add $5) includes a wand, five tricks, and one-on-one instruction

On-line Fitness Yoga

Discover the strength and cardiovascular benefits of this power yoga class and enjoy the relaxation as you reduce stress in the comfort of your own home! Gain flexibility and balance through a flow of yoga poses. This is a great class for all levels including advanced, intermediate, and beginner.

Tuesday and Thursdays, 7:00-8:15 p.m.

$10 Register as a drop-on and we will send you the link to join the class.

Virtual Fitness Yoga Teens (ages 11+)

Discover the strength and cardiovascular benefits of this power yoga class and enjoy the relaxation as you reduce stress. Gain flexibility and balance through a flow of yoga poses. A great way to get exercise after a day of distance learning! Join with friends via Zoom and stay in shape for spring sports.

Thursdays, April 9-30, 6:00 – 6:50 p.m.

$36 for all four classes (non residents add $10) or $10 drop in.

Virtual Yoga Kids (Age 5-10)

This class will help kids to develop self-awareness while they learn strategies to slow down, unwind and manage their emotions. Through movement exercises kids will have fun as they gain strength, flexibility, and balance. Each class will focus on breath, movement, and meditation. Join with friends via Zoom and participate together!

Tuesdays, April 7-28, 3:00-3:30 p.m.
