Haddam Senior & Social Services: July 2019 Report

Senior Van:

The Haddam Senior Van has serviced a total of 20 medical appointments for July 2019.

Our weekly shopping trip to Walmart has had a steady attendance of an average of 5-7 seniors weekly. A total of 30 seniors have attend the weekly shopping trip for July.

Senior & Social Services:

The Haddam Emergency Food Bank has serviced a total of 47 Adults and 16 Children for July of 2019.

The Haddam Emergency Fuel Bank has serviced 1 Family for electric assistance for the month of July 2019.

Haddam Social Services has assisted 11 individuals with paper work.

The Haddam Emergency Clothing Bank has serviced 7 Adults and 12 Children.

The Haddam Giving Garden and the Garden Share program have begun providing fresh vegetables to our community.

Senior Farmers Market Coupons have gone out to 11 seniors for July.

The Haddam Food Bank is very low on food. We are in great need of tomato sauce, peanut butter, jelly, tuna fish, canned meats,  and any personal hygiene goods such as deodorant, toilet paper, toothpaste, shampoo, etc.  We are also accepting all Garden Goodies! Please consider sharing any extra fresh garden vegetables with the Food Bank.

Haddam Senior Center:

The Haddam Senior Center has had a total of 260 seniors for the month of July who have attended programs and to socialize at the senior center.

115 of the 260 attend the CRT lunch program at the senior center.
