The Haddam Killingworth High School Girls Tennis team finished up their regular season this week with a set of challenging matches resulting in losses versus Old Saybrook, Portland and Morgan.
In Old Saybrook on Monday, May 17, 2021, the girls suffered a 3-4 loss despite a strong showing on the singles side. At their home courts on Tuesday and Wednesday, Portland overcame HK 5-2 and Morgan settled a score with a 4-3 victory. Nevertheless, senior singles players Anna Mercier, Lizzy Celano, Jessica Duffield and Jasmine Byrne are poised to compete in the Shoreline Conference Tournament next week with matches being played Sunday through Tuesday along the shoreline.
