On Friday, October 2, 2020, the Haddam Killingworth High School Girls Varsity Soccer team played Portland High School.
The HK Cougars opened their season by defeating Portland High School by a score of 4-1. Goals were by Autumn Walton, Kedarjah Lewis, Yumi Imai and Morgan Madore. Assists were supplied by Kaitlyn Parri, Hadley Commerford, Kedarjah Lewis and Morgan Madore. Goalkeepers were Sophia Torello and Brianna Nugent they combined with 4 saves. The young defensive line starters included Leah Sosnowski, Leah Chester, Caroline Conte and Rory Parri.
Every player on the varsity team saw action and all contributed to the first win of the season!
