Fundraising Bike Ride for Haiti Passes Through Higganum

Submitted by Peter Sonski.

St Peter’s Knights of Columbus Council members greeted bikers from Outreach to Haiti September 20, 2019 outside the church at the corner of Maple Avenue and St Peter’s Lane. For several years, local Knights have supported the project, sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Norwich, which provides healthcare services, educational support, and nutritional assistance for children.

To raise awareness and funds for construction of a new clinic in Haiti a volunteer group embarked on a five-day, 337-mile bike ride, passing through Higganum. To learn more, visit outreachtohaiti.org.
