Football 2018: HKHS Defeats Morgain

On Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, the Haddam Killingworth High School Varsity football team defeated Morgan High School in Clinton with a final score of HK 63, Morgan 22. Tobey Callender ran for 117 yards on 10 carries and caught two touchdown passes, and Dalton Modehn rushed for 125 yards on 15 carries with four touchdowns as the Cougars (5-1) rolled up 501 yards of total offense in their win Friday night over Morgan of Clinton. James Murphy was 2 for 2 in passing with 92 yards and two TDs. J.P. Nye was 23 of 46 passing for Morgan (1-4) with 303 yards and two touchdowns. Liam Whelan had seven catches for 124 yards for the Huskies.

Third Quarter: HK – Callender 42 pass from Murphy (Callahan kick); M – Caldwell 11 pass from Nye (Barros kick); HK – Modehn 22 run (Callahan kick)

Fourth Quarter: HK – Modehn 30 run (Callahan kick); M – Bryce Thomas 85 yard kick return (Caldwell pass from Nye); HK – Modehn 44 run (Callahan kick)
