Spectrum Gallery Exhibit: “Let There Be Love” – A Holiday Exhibit

Let’s celebrate the season with images that show how we care about others, and of course this includes our loving and lovable pets!  Artists express these sentiments in unique and creative ways through fine art, mixed media, collage and photography.. November 18, 2022 through January 14, 2023. Exhibition begins with an Opening Reception Friday, November 18th (6:30-9:00 p.m.) and Open House Weekend, Saturday, November 19th (1:00-6:00 p.m.) and Sunday, November 20th (1:00-5:00 p.m.).

 Adult Classes and Workshops

In Gallery: Thanksgiving Floral Centerpiece Design. In this workshop, a professional floral designer will give a brief history of the tradition and elements used when creating a Thanksgiving Cornucopia, also called the Horn of Plenty. Provided is a Cornucopia basket, secured with fresh oasis foam, and a beautiful selection of seasonal flowers, assorted greener,y and a variety of unique finishing accents. Learn five basic elements of Floral Design and familiarize yourself with the tools and materials used.  Learn how to choose your materials, different color palettes, maintenance and other unique elements when creating your design.  Bring your own pods, feathers or any other fun elements from your home or garden. Sunday, November 6, 2022. 1:00-4:00 p.m. $50, plus $50 material fee paid to instructor. Members save $5.

In Gallery: Two Session Acrylic Studio. The Boston Garden scene reflects the colors of Autumn along with cool peaceful cool tones accompanied by people enjoying the park. In this two-week session we will develop the scene from early blocking in of colors and shapes into the finer details that will develop it into a three-dimensional-looking painting right before your eyes. Beginners and more experienced artists are totally welcome. You will be guided along on this artistic journey and have fun in the process. Instructor will help each artist with color mixing as well as any drawing details. Fridays, December 2, and 9, 2022. 12:30-2:30 p.m. $64.

 In Gallery: Holiday Wreath Design Workshop. Create your own 30” live wreath to display proudly this season. A wide variety of freshly picked greenery is available. Florist wire, hand-made bows and painted objects, including pine cones for embellishment are also provided. Bring wire cutters or sharp scissors, and gloves are recommended. Beginners welcome! Saturday, December 3, 2022. 1:30-4:00 p.m. $45, plus $25 material fee paid to the instructor. Members save $4.
