As part of an ongoing effort to strengthen the power grid and increase reliability, Eversource will be using a helicopter equipped with advanced survey gear to create high resolution, three-dimensional images of transmission line rights of way in Connecticut. Images collected during these flights are necessary to help engineer system reliability improvements proposed in this area. The helicopter assigned to this project is blue and yellow, with tail number N803JB, and will be surveying the lines from Friday, Nov. 23, to Friday, Nov.30, 2018, weather permitting between 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
