Dancing Superstar Tony Dovolani To Teach Master Class in Middletown

The former “Dancing With The Stars” winner will be at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio for a class that is open to the public.

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Middletown is pleased to
announce that world-renowned dancer, Tony Dovolani, will be teaching lessons at the
studio on Monday, January 14. Most of the lessons are private one-on-one sessions with
the current students at the studio. There will also be a master class that is open to the
public for $65 at 7:15pm. Interested parties are asked to contact the studio for more
details at 860-788-7150.

This will be a sort of homecoming for Mr. Dovolani as he began taking ballroom dance
lessons at a Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Connecticut at age 17. A natural talent, within 6
months he was promoted to dance instructor. After spending 21 consecutive seasons on
the hit show “Dancing With The Stars”, Tony rejoined Fred Astaire last fall as their
Co-National Dance Director.

The Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Middletown is under new management. This
appearance gives the new owner, professional dancer Andrew Kerski, a chance to show
his commitment to the local community. “Dancing is a great activity,” said Kerski, “It
has physical and mental health benefits, as well as increased socialization and fun. Our
hope in bringing in Tony Dovolani is that anyone with an interest in dance can find a
reason to come and chase their dreams.”
