Guilford Savings, Pratt & Whitney seed fund to support nonprofits impacted by COVID-19

Middletown, CT – Responding to the impact of COVID-19 on local nonprofit organizations, the Community Foundation of Middlesex County (CFMC) has established the Live Local Give Local Emergency Fund. The Fund was seeded by generous donations from Guilford Savings Bank and Pratt & Whitney to support CFMC’s efforts in helping nonprofit organizations in Middlesex County serving those in need. Additional contributions from other CFMC funds and individual donors have also been received.  Grant awards will be issued to qualifying organizations through a quick and simple online application process at www.MiddlesexCountyCF.org. All area organizations are encouraged to apply.

“Nonprofits are the backbone of our local community,” stated Cynthia Clegg, CFMC President and CEO, “We are committed to helping them get through this unprecedented time, ensuring their future and, in turn, a vibrant community for all of us. We are also grateful for the good people at Guilford Savings Banks, Pratt & Whitney and the many donors who have really stepped up to make it possible.”

Donations to the Live Local Give Local Emergency Fund, in the amount of your choosing, are also being accepted online, by phone or by mail.
