H-K Boys Tennis Loses to East Hampton, Defeats Coginchaug in Shoreline Conference Matches-White wins #1 Singles in both matches
(May 12, 2021) The Cougars lost a Shoreline Conference match against East Hampton by a 6-1 Match score. A standout performance by H-K freshman Eddie White winning an exciting three set comeback at #1 singles prevented a shutout win by East Hampton. H-K followed that match with a 6-0 win on the Coginchaug courts. “Not only did Eddie recognize a switch in strategy was necessary when he was down 2-5 in the first set of the East Hampton match, he had the talent and patience to see it through to win,” commented Coach Pakus. “The middle of our singles lineup was strong in the Coginchaug match. We need solid performances there to be competitive in this league.”
