(December 20, 2023) — Haddam Social Services would like to thank the volunteers of Grim’s Haunted House. We recently received a donation and wanted to share our immense appreciation.
Grim’s Haunted House is a local Halloween event run by Chelsea and Ryan Cleveland, Frank Mucciacciaro, and Chuck Cook, in addition to dozens of other volunteers. Every year, they put on a frightful display and donate the proceeds to the Haddam Social Services Food and Fuel Banks.
This year the event moved to Haddam Elementary School and Grim’s was bigger and better than ever! They took over the downstairs gymnasium, and built an impressive display outdoors as well. As in years past, there was a Kids Fair, Trunk or Treat, and food vendors. This year they added a Virtual Reality Truck in addition to a great concert put on by Rock Landing Bank.
Grim’s was joined by Haddam Lions Club, Haddam Women’s Club, HK Youth & Family Services, Haddam Park & Rec, Town of Haddam and Burr Elementary School PTO.
Once again, a huge thank-you to the volunteers of Grim’s (photo above) and to all of the organizations that put on an amazing Halloween event for the children and families in our town. Thank you to everyone who donated and supported the families in need in our community.
